Project Summary
Many remote northern communities continue to rely heavily on diesel powered generators to meet their energy needs, but there is a transition to renewables taking place. In Old Crow, a town of approx. 250 residents, Challenger provided survey support for the development of a new solar array. The project is anticipated to displace 190,000 litres of diesel fuel every year, or 750 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
